Rules for Awarding Titles in Ukraine
Since 2011: 1 САС = R.CAC + R.CACIB (awarded at one dog show).

Since 2021 (applies only to R.CAC certificates received from 2021 onward):

4xR.CAC awarded at INTERNATIONAL dog shows in Ukraine and awarded at main INTERNATIONAL dog shows in Kyiv (double/triple CACIBs held in April, August, December) = 1xCAC awarded at INTERNATIONAL dog show in Ukraine
Only one such "combined" CAC can be used for obtaining a single Champion of Ukraine, Grand Champion of Ukraine or other titles in the UKU system.

2xR.J.CAC = 1xJ.CAC awarded at a dog show of the same level (e.g., 2xR.J.CAC awarded at NATIONAL dog shows = 1xJ.CAC awarded at NATIONAL dog show, or 2xR.J.CACs awarded at main INTERNATIONAL dog shows in Kyiv (double/triple CACIBs held in April, August, December) = 1xJ.CAC awarded at main INTERNATIONAL dog shows in Kyiv).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

During the period of martial law in Ukraine, temporarily simplified rules for awarding titles apply

 

BABY CHAMPION OF UKRAINE

 

 

Criteria:

  • 3x "Best Baby of Breed" at any NATIONAL UKU dog shows; or
  • 2x "Best Baby of Breed" at any INTERNATIONAL UKU dog shows; or
  • "Best Baby in Show" (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place) at double/triple main Kyiv CACIBs; or
  • "Best Baby in Show" 1st place at any UKU dog show.

 

 

 

 

 

Temporary simplified rules starting from 2024

  • 2x "Very Promising 1" at any UKU dog shows; or
  • 1x " Very Promising 1" at double/triple Kyiv CACIBs; or
  • "Best Baby in Show" (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place) at any UKU dog shows.

 

BABY GRAND CHAMPION OF UKRAINE

 

 

The title "Ukrainian Baby Grand Winner" is awarded in accordance with the rules for granting the "Ukrainian Baby Winner" title and provided that the dog already holds a valid the "Ukrainian Baby Winner" title.

 

PUPPY CHAMPION OF UKRAINE

 

 

Criteria:

  • 3x "Best Puppy of Breed" at any NATIONAL UKU dog shows; or
  • 2x "Best Puppy of Breed" at any INTERNATIONAL UKU dog shows; or
  • "Best Puppy in Show" (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place) at double/triple Kyiv CACIBs; or
  • "Best Puppy in Show" 1st place at any UKU dog shows.

  • 1x "Very Promising 1" at double/triple Kyiv CACIBs; or

PUPPY GRAND CHAMPION OF UKRAINE

 

 

The title "Ukrainian Puppy Grand Winner" is awarded in accordance with the rules for granting the "Ukrainian Puppy Winner" title and provided that the dog already holds a valid the "Ukrainian Puppy Winner" title.

 

CHAMPION OF UKRAINE

 

Awarded an unlimited number of times 

Criteria:

  • 6 x CAC at national UKU dog shows over a period of no less than 1 year and 1 day (under at least 5 different judges); or
  • 4 x CAC – three CACs at national shows, plus one CAC at any CACIB dog show in Ukraine, over a period of no less than 1 year and 1 day under different judges or
  • 4 x CAC – three CACs at national shows, plus one CAC at double/triple CACIB dog shows in Kyiv (Golden Gates, Ukraine, Golden Pectoral, Scythian Gold, Sofia Kyivska, Kyivska Rus, Crystal Cup of Ukraine), over a period of no less than 6 months under different judges; or
  • 3 x CAC – two CACs at double CACIB dog shows held on consecutive days in any Ukrainian city, and one CAC from double/triple CACIB dog shows in Kyiv (Golden Gates, Ukraine, Golden Pectoral, Scythian Gold, Sofia Kyivska, Kyivska Rus, Crystal Cup of Ukraine); or
  • 2 x CAC at double/triple CACIB dog shows in Kyiv (Golden Gates and Ukraine or Golden Pectoral, Scythian Gold and Sofia Kyivska or Kyivska Rus and Crystal Cup of Ukraine, within one weekend); or
  • 2 x CAC – one from a CAC dog show and one from a CACIB dog show, only for working breeds (according to the FCI nomenclature), provided that a working certificate is attached; or
  • 2 x CAC – from CAC dog shows, only if a valid “Breed Champion” certificate is attached (this certificate may be used only once; the CAC awarded at the show that granted the “Breed Champion” title is not counted); or
  • 1 x CAC – from a CACIB dog show, only if a valid “Breed Champion” certificate is attached (this certificate may be used only once).

For foreign citizens from FCI member states that have signed the "Mutual Recognition of Titles" agreement (Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Finland, Czech Republic (temporarily suspended), Estonia) the “Champion of Ukraine” title may be obtained through a simplified procedure, provided that one of the following sets of documents is submitted:

  • 1 x CAC obtained at a CACIB dog show in Ukraine together with a National Champion Certificate from the country of residence of the dog's owner, or
  • 2 x CAC obtained at CAC dog shows together with a National Champion Certificate from the country of residence of the dog's owner.

For citizens of FCI member states that have not signed the “Mutual Recognition of Titles” agreement, the “Champion of Ukraine” title is awarded on the general terms.

 

 

 

 

 

Temporary simplified rules
These requirements apply if at least one CAC was obtained at shows held from 2024 onwards

  • 6 x CAC at UKU national dog shows over a period of no less than 1 year and 1 day, under at least 4 different judges; or
  • 4 x CAC – three CACs from CAC rank dog shows plus one from a double/triple CACIB rank dog show in Kyiv (Golden Gates, Ukraine, Golden Pectoral, Scythian Gold, Saint Sophia of Kyiv, Kyivan Rus, Crystal Cup of Ukraine), over a period of no less than 6 months, under at least 3 different judges; or
  • 2 x CAC – from any UKU certificate dog shows, only for working breed dogs (according to the FCI classification), provided that a working certificate is attached.

 

JUNIOR CHAMPION OF UKRAINE

 

Awarded once only

Criteria:

  • 3 x JCAC at any UKU certificate dog shows; or
  • 2 x JCAC at double/triple CACIB dog shows in Kyiv (Golden Gates and Ukraine; or Golden Pectoral, Scythian Gold and Saint Sophia of Kyiv; or Kyivan Rus and Crystal Cup of Ukraine, within one weekend); or
  • 2 x JCAC at CAC dog shows, provided that a valid "Junior Breed Champion" certificate is attached (this certificate may be used only once; the JCAC used to obtain the "Breed Champion" title is not counted); or
  • 1 x JCAC at CACIB dog shows, provided that a valid "Junior Breed Champion" certificate is attached (this certificate may be used only once).

For foreign citizens from FCI member states that have signed the “Mutual Recognition of Titles” agreement (Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Finland, Czech Republic (temporarily suspended), Estonia), the “Junior Champion of Ukraine” title may be obtained through a simplified procedure, provided that one of the following sets of documents is submitted:

  • 1 x JCAC from a CACIB rank dog show in Ukraine, plus a National Junior Champion Certificate issued in the dog owner's country of residence; or
  • 2 x JCAC from CAC rank dog shows, plus a National Junior Champion Certificate issued in the dog owner's country of residence; or
  • 2 x JCAC from double/triple CACIB rank dog shows in Kyiv (Golden Gates and Ukraine, or Golden Pectoral, Scythian Gold and Saint Sophia of Kyiv, or Kyivan Rus and Crystal Cup of Ukraine, within one weekend), without a National Junior Champion Certificate from the dog owner’s country of residence.

For foreign citizens from FCI member states that have not signed the “Mutual Recognition of Titles” agreement, the “Junior Champion of Ukraine” title may be obtained either under the general procedure or through a simplified procedure, provided that the following is submitted:

  • 2 x JCAC from double CACIB rank dog shows held in Ukraine, plus a National Junior Champion Certificate issued in the dog owner’s country of residence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Temporary simplified rules starting from 2024

Dogs born on or after 14 September 2018 whose junior age coincided with the period of dog show cancellations or postponements due to the pandemic or martial law in Ukraine may obtain the Junior Champion of Ukraine title under a simplified procedure, as follows:
The Junior Champion of Ukraine title may be awarded if the dog has obtained:

  • 2 x JCAC from any certificate dog shows in Ukraine (regardless of whether the judging was done by the same or different judges); or
  • 1 x JCAC from double/triple CACIB dog shows in Kyiv; or
  • 1 x JCAC from any certificate dog show in Ukraine, provided that a valid “Junior Breed Champion” title has already been issued (a copy must be attached). The JCAC used to obtain the “Junior Breed Champion” title cannot be counted again.

For foreign citizens from FCI member states that have signed the “Mutual Recognition of Titles” agreement, the following must be submitted:

  • 1 x JCAC from any certificate dog show in Ukraine plus a National Junior Champion Certificate from the dog owner's country of residence; or
  • 2 x JCAC from any certificate dog shows in Ukraine, without a National Junior Champion Certificate from the dog owner's country of residence.

For foreign citizens from FCI member states that have not signed the Mutual Recognition of Titles agreement, the Junior Champion of Ukraine title may be obtained under the general rules or through the simplified procedure, provided the following is submitted:

  • 2 x JCAC from any certificate dog shows in Ukraine, plus a National Junior Champion Certificate from the dog owner’s country of residence.

 

JUNIOR GRAND CHAMPION OF UKRAINE

 

Awarded an unlimited number of times

The title "Junior Grand Champion of Ukraine" is awarded in the same manner as the "Junior Champion of Ukraine" title and provided that the dog has already obtained the "Junior Champion of Ukraine" title.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Temporary simplified rules

Dogs born on or after 14 September 2018 whose junior age coincided with the cancellation or postponement of dog shows due to the pandemic and martial law in Ukraine may obtain the Junior Grand Champion of Ukraine title under a simplified procedure, as follows:

  • 2 x JCAC from any certificate dog shows in Ukraine (regardless of whether judged by the same or different judges); or
  • 1 x JCAC from Kyiv double (or triple) CACIB dog shows; or
  • 1 x JCAC from any certificate dog show in Ukraine, provided that a valid “Junior Breed Champion” title has already been issued (a copy must be attached). The JCAC used to obtain the “Junior Breed Champion” title may not be reused.

The Junior Grand Champion of Ukraine title is awarded only if the dog has already been granted the “Junior Champion of Ukraine” title.

 

VETERAN CHAMPION OF UKRAINE

 

Awarded an unlimited number of times, with no time restrictions

Criteria:

  • 3 x "Excellent-1" – two "Excellent-1" from CAC dog shows plus one from a CACIB dog show, judged by at least two different judges; or
  • 2 x "Excellent-1" – one from a CAC dog show and one from a CACIB dog show, judged by different judges, only for working breed dogs with a valid working certificate attached.

For foreign citizens from FCI member states that have signed the “Mutual Recognition of Titles” agreement (Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Finland, Czech Republic (temporarily suspended), Estonia), the Veteran Champion of Ukraine title may be obtained under a simplified procedure, provided that one of the following sets of documents is submitted:

  • 1 x "Excellent-1" from a CACIB dog show in Ukraine plus a National Veteran Champion Certificate from the dog owner's country of residence; or
  • 2 x "Excellent-1" from CAC dog shows plus a National Veteran Champion Certificate from the dog owner's country of residence; or
  • 2 x "Excellent-1" from double/triple CACIB dog shows in Kyiv (Golden Gates and Ukraine, or Golden Pectoral, Scythian Gold and Saint Sophia of Kyiv, or Kyivan Rus and Crystal Cup of Ukraine, within one weekend), without a Veteran Champion Certificate from the country of residence.

For foreign citizens from FCI member states that have not signed the “Mutual Recognition of Titles” agreement, the Veteran Champion of Ukraine title may be obtained under the general rules or through the simplified procedure, provided that the following is submitted:

  • 2 x "Excellent-1" from double CACIB dog shows held in Ukraine plus a National Veteran Champion Certificate from the dog owner's country of residence.

The title is granted upon submission of:

  • 2 x "Excellent-1" from any certificate dog shows in Ukraine, under different judges; or
  • 1 x "Excellent-1" from any certificate dog show in Ukraine plus a valid working certificate (only for working breed dogs, certificate must be attached).

For foreign citizens from FCI member states that have signed the “Mutual Recognition of Titles” agreement, the following must be submitted:

  • 1 x "Excellent-1" from any certificate dog show in Ukraine plus a National Veteran Champion Certificate from the dog owner’s country of residence; or
  • 2 x "Excellent-1" from any certificate dog shows in Ukraine, without a National Veteran Champion Certificate from the country of residence.

For foreign citizens from FCI member states that have not signed the “Mutual Recognition of Titles” agreement, the Veteran Champion of Ukraine title may be obtained under the general rules, namely:

  • 2 x "Excellent-1" from any certificate dog shows in Ukraine; or
  • 1 x "Excellent-1" from any certificate dog show in Ukraine plus a valid working certificate (only for working breed dogs, certificate must be attached).

 

VETERAN GRAND CHAMPION OF UKRAINE

Awarded an unlimited number of times, with no time restrictions

The title "Veteran Grand Champion of Ukraine" is awarded in accordance with the rules for granting the "Veteran Champion of Ukraine" title, provided the dog already holds a valid "Veteran Champion of Ukraine" title.

 

 

 

 

 

Temporary simplified rules

Awarded on the condition that the dog already holds the "Veteran Champion of Ukraine" title, plus:

  • 2 x "Excellent-1" from any certificate dog shows in Ukraine, judged by different judges; or
  • 1 x "Excellent-1" from any certificate dog show in Ukraine plus a valid working certificate (only for working breed dogs; certificate must be attached).

 

UKU CHAMPION

 

The title is awarded based on results obtained since 2011 and may be granted an unlimited number of times.
The CAC title is not cancelled in this case.
Holding this title does not entitle the dog to participate in the Champion Class.

Criteria:

  • 2 x CAC + 2 x CACIB at double/triple CACIB dog shows in Kyiv (Golden Gates and Ukraine, or Golden Pectoral, Scythian Gold and Saint Sophia of Kyiv, or Kyivan Rus and Crystal Cup of Ukraine, within one weekend); or
  • 1 x CAC + 1 x CACIB at double/triple CACIB dog shows in Kyiv (Golden Gates and Ukraine, or Golden Pectoral, Scythian Gold and Saint Sophia of Kyiv, or Kyivan Rus and Crystal Cup of Ukraine), only for working breed dogs, provided that a valid working certificate is attached; or
  • 3 x CAC + 3 x CACIB at CACIB dog shows in Ukraine (except the double/triple CACIB shows in Kyiv).

For breeds recognised at the national level, the titles "Best Male" and "Best Female" are used instead of CACIBs under the same conditions.

 

BREED CHAMPION JUNIOR BREED CHAMPION

 

Awarded for titles obtained since 2012, can be awarded an unlimited number of times.
Does not grant the right to compete in the Champion class

Criteria:
At National Breed Championships – the Best Male and the Best Female in the breed are awarded the title "Breed Champion".

At National Breed Championships – the Best Junior Male and the Best Junior Female in the breed are awarded the title "Junior Breed Champion".

 

PROCREATOR OF CHAMPIONS

 

Awarded an unlimited number of times

Criteria:
For males – at least 5 direct offspring, from a minimum of two litters by different dams, must hold the title "Champion of Ukraine".

For females – at least 5 direct offspring, from a minimum of two litters by different sires, must hold the title "Champion of Ukraine".

 

UKU SHOW CHAMPION

 

Awarded among exhibitors who are winners of the BEST in SHOW ring.
Introduced in 2014 and can be awarded an unlimited number of times.

Criteria:

  • 1 x BIS1 in the BEST in SHOW ring at a CACIB show in Kyiv; or
  • 3 x BIS1 in the BEST in SHOW ring at CACIB rank shows; or
  • 5 x BIS1 in the BEST in SHOW ring at CAC rank shows.

Bis1 = 2xBiS2 = 3xBis3

 

GRAND CHAMPION OF UKRAINE

 

Awarded an unlimited number of times.
To obtain this title, at least one CAC must be awarded at a double/triple CACIB show in Kyiv.

Criteria:
- JCH + CH (4 times); or
- JCH + JGRCH + CH (3 times); or
- CH (5 times); or
- Club Champion + CH (3 times); or
- JCH + Club Champion +CH (2 times); or
- JCH + JGRCH + Club Champion + CH (1 time)

For foreign citizens, the title "Grand Champion of Ukraine" is awarded only if the dog already holds the official "Champion of Ukraine" title.
To obtain the "Grand Champion of Ukraine" certificate, citizens of FCI member states that have signed the “Mutual Recognition of Titles” agreement (Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Finland, Czech Republic  (temporarily suspended), Estonia) must submit either:
1 x CAC from a CACIB show in Ukraine and a Grand Champion certificate from the country of residence of the dog’s owner; or
2 x CAC from CAC dog shows and a Grand Champion certificate from the country of residence of the dog’s owner.
The CACs must be awarded in the Champion class.

 

ВВВ
Best of Breed in Ukraine

 

Awarded an unlimited number of times. The final BOB/BOS must be earned after the dog reaches 24 months of age.
"ВВВ" is awarded under the same conditions as the “Champion of Ukraine” title, based on the dog’s BOB (Best of Breed) or BOS (Best of Opposite Sex) certificates.

Criteria:

  • 6 x BOB/BOS from the national CAC dog shows, obtained over a period of at least 1 year and 1 day, judged by at least 5 different judges; or
  • 4 x BOB/BOS, where three are obtained at CAC dog shows and one at a CACIB dog show, over a period of at least 1 year and 1 day, judged by different judges; or
  • 4 x BOB/BOS, where three are obtained at CAC dog shows and one at a double/triple CACIB dog show in Kyiv (Golden Gates, Ukraine, Golden Pectoral, Scythian Gold, Saint Sophia of Kyiv, Kyivan Rus, Crystal Cup of Ukraine), over a period of at least 6 months, judged by different judges; or
  • 3 x BOB/BOS, where two are obtained at double CACIB dog shows in any city in Ukraine (within one weekend, i.e. two consecutive days), and one at a double/triple CACIB dog show in Kyiv (Golden Gates, Ukraine, Golden Pectoral, Scythian Gold, Saint Sophia of Kyiv, Kyivan Rus, Crystal Cup of Ukraine); or
  • 2 x BOB/BOS from double/triple CACIB dog shows in Kyiv (Golden Gates and Ukraine, or Golden Pectoral, Scythian Gold and Saint Sophia of Kyiv, or Kyivan Rus and Crystal Cup of Ukraine, within one weekend); or
  • 2 x BOB/BOS, where one is obtained at a CAC dog show and one at a CACIB dog show, only for working breed dogs, provided that a valid working certificate is attached.

At National Breed Championships, the best representative of the breed is awarded the BBB title.

The “BBB” certificate is awarded to foreign citizens on the same terms.

 

 

 

 

 

Temporary simplified rules

These requirements apply if at least one BOB/BOS has been obtained at dog shows starting from 2024:

  • 6 x BOB/BOS from CAC dog shows, obtained over a period of no less than 1 year and 1 day, judged by at least 4 different judges; or
  • 4 x BOB/BOS – three BOB/BOS from CAC dog shows plus one from a CACIB rank dog show in Kyiv (Golden Gates, Ukraine, Golden Pectoral, Scythian Gold, Saint Sophia of Kyiv, Kyivan Rus, Crystal Cup of Ukraine), obtained over a period of no less than 6 months, judged by at least 3 different judges.

 

SUPER GRAND CHAMPION OF UKRAINE

 

Awarded since 2011 and can be granted an unlimited number of times.

Criteria:
GRCH + BBB

 

SUPREME CHAMPION OF UKRAINE

 

Awarded for titles obtained since 2011 to dogs that have achieved the highest distinctions within the title system of the Ukrainian Kennel Union and the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI).

Criteria:
One of the international champion titles (C.I.B, C.I.E, C.I.T., C.I.T.(ft), C.I.T.(ec), C.I.B.T., C.I.C., C.I.B.P., C.I.TR.) + SGRCH + ВВВ
